New user interface for MS Office “12”

Microsoft decided to re-design the Office user interface from scratch. It’s a very dangerous step. Users will get something completely new and will have to learn it. There will be no “classic mode”, no way to keep the old look and feel. You better adapt soon. It’s a question if users will be willing to learn and adapt. On the other hand, what else can make users upgrade to the new Office? It will be really interesting to watch the marketing campaign explaining the reasons to upgrade. I think we’ll be able to learn a lot from it.
