How to save Photoshop images as .ico files

If you use Photoshop to draw icons, you’ll be glad to find out that now you can export your images right to the .ico file format. ICO Format is an open source plugin for Photoshop (3.0-7.0, CS, CS2) that runs under Mac OS X, 9 and earlier, and Windows. The plugin reads and writes ICO files in 1, 4 and 8-bit Indexed and 24-bit RGB modes, and also reads and writes 32-bit “XP” icons (with 8-bit alpha channel).
